My Swimming Life

My name is Jacob Sutej and I have been swimming since I was seven. Swimming is something I have loved to do ever since I first dove into a pool. Swimming has changed my life in many ways. I have met so many people through swimming and a lot of my good friends I have met through swimming. I have been many places that I would have never gone to if it wasn't for swimming. Some of these places are Columbia, Missouri, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, South Bend, Indiana, and many more.

I have only been apart of two swim teams in my entire life. One of them is my club swim team called Swim Omaha. I have been apart of this team since I started swimming. I grew up with the kids on this swim team and I see them everyday or in the summer I see them twice a day. The other team I am apart of is the Creighton Prep Swim Team, or CPST as we call it. This team is my favorite team out of the two. This team only has people from Creighton Prep, whereas my club swim team has people from a lot of different schools. This team is 34 swimmers and a couple of divers and we are the best swim team ever in the state. The past couple of years we were one of the top ten best high school swim teams in the country. This years team scored the most points ever in a state swim meet to earn our NINTH state championship in a row. We didn't lose a single meet all year, which included winning by half a point over the Wisconsin State Champions (1214.5 to 1214). This team is probably one of my favorite things I have ever been apart of and I can't wait to lead this team for the next 2 years.
